Looking into moving towards a UMP clone purchase and am stuck between the TommyBuilt .45 UMP Pistol and the Omega Shadow .45 pistol. I absolutely plan to SBR and only want it in the .45acp form. I know everyone will say Tommybuilt and i get it, but my Omega MP5 runs like a machine and the Shadow is 0 less.
Yikes. I read for a lot of people that replacing the Omega barrel push pin with the HK roll/spring pin made all the difference so that what I'd did right outta the gate.
The factory hand stop removed sling loop locations and added an Omega logo. I ended up drawing up and printing my own out of nylon-gf and nylon-cf until I could find a reasonably priced factory unit. They worked great though I did not torture test the parts. Paper Form 1 finally came back from September and now my UMP .45 Clone is complete. The stripped receiver was made by Omega and I got it when they first released on Atlantic Firearms back in November of 2017, the rest of the parts are mostly German-made HK parts. This thing is loads of fun to shoot and probably one of my all-time favorites now.The newly released Omega Gideon Shadow (GS) 9mm pistol is recoil operated, closed bolt, lightweight, durable and easy to maintain semi auto pistol. Each pistol covers 3 of the most popular calibers in 9mm, .40 and .45 respectively.
